What is VUCA?

You keep writing “VUCA” without explaining what it is, they say. I’m explaining:

V (Volatility)

Two people look to the north and see three high mountains, and while they sit and discuss mountains, they look to the north again and see two low mountains. In short, they have completely empty talk.

U (Uncertainty)

Two people are looking south and they can’t see anything in the dark. They are discussing what it could be, they are talking complete nonsense.

C (Complexity)

Two people are looking east. They can’t turn and argue because what they see turns them into idiots. Incidents, incidents… He hits, the other one jumps, the one on the other side moves away, the one on the other side moves away, the other one jumps. They go back and argue, but they talk in vain, they don’t solve the relationships, it is impossible to solve the causes.

A (Ambiguity)

Two people are looking west, one sees three mountains, the other three buildings. They turn and argue, one says, where did you make up the three buildings, where are the windows of those buildings, the other says, where did you make up the three mountains, don’t you see the door? They are talking in vain, they don’t see the truth.

The way to deal with VUCA is to stop talking and start acting, and to keep looking around and talking to the person next to you.
